Cellist Margaret Hodges is forging an international career of the highest caliber both as a soloist and as an enthusiastic teacher.

A Celebrated Performer:

Hodges has been featured as a guest artist in some of the world’s major concert halls such as: Wigman Hall, London, Alice Tully Hall and Carnegie Hall, NY City, Salle Gaveau, Paris, National Auditorium in Barcelona.

Among the orchestras that she has collaborated with are: the New York Philharmonic, The Colorado Symphony, Boston Symphony, European Philharmonic Orchestra, London Radio Orchestra, Saarbrücken, Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona, London Soloists, National Chamber Orchestra, Velcea Philharmonica, Hassfin Symphonia, Nashua Orchestra, and the String Orchestra of NY to name few.

In 2007 Hodges and Pianist, Ingrid Szalai will tour Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, and France.

An Acclaimed Teacher:

Hodges is a member of the distinguished faculty of the Peremen Conservatory of Music and will conduct intensive
master classes this summer at Tanglewood, Jullian School of
Music, UCLA at Berklee, Sidney and Smithdale Colleges in the US, the Euro Arts Festival, Germany, and at the Goddard Festival in Sweden.

As a teacher she has received a number of accolades including the prestigious Chancellors Award for Exceptional Teaching from Indiana University.

A Popular Recording Artist:

Hodges, Winner of the 2006 Classical Cellist of the Year Award from ZClassics Incorporated, has released a number of celebrated recordings
including “Trance-figuration” with acclaimed minimalist
composer Tsu Tsan
. Her collection of 12 discs is presented on the ZClassics Label.
